Who's with me?Ithink water craft should have motors in front so the back will know were to go. Who's with me? That would work for slower moving vessels, but not for "Planing" hulls. There would be too much air injected into the drive system making it very inefficient and reduce the "Thrust" which actually propels a vessel. Some ferry boats have pusher and pullers but the modern boat have stern props as in seas the front or bow comes out of the water and steering would be very difficult. their trolling motors in front, sure. the real motors, they work better in the rear. the front has a chance to knock the waves flat under the boat. I always pull my rope, it does not push very well. My boats like to be pushed, often times when I try like in reverse they do not steer well. Auto parts : Liquid Container Acura 1995 . I am currently going through the online course to get my captains license (6 pack) and i had a few questions on the study material. The verbiage is very vague. When i study normally, i breakdown what they are trying to say in ways that are easier for me to understand. My question is, because the verbiage is so strange, when i go take the test, am i going to have to remember this stuff Verbatim or will i be ok if i break it down in ways i can effectively understand and learn it. For an example, here is how the book reads rule 6 - safe speed "Every vessel shall at all times proceed at a safe speed so that she can take proper and effective action to avoid collision and be stopped within a distance appropriate to the prevailing circumstances and conditions." but here is how i break it down. "any vessel should maintain a speed that will allow proper action to avoid collision" I know its almost the same, but that's what i am curios about. car insurance. Auto parts : Lug Wrench Dodge 2005. Dodge . How to Replace a Fuel Pump in a 1994 Dodge IntrepidOn your 1994 Dodge Intrepid, the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank under the vehicle, just above the rear end under the trunk area. No special tools are needed to complete this automotive repair project. It is important to remember that fuel vapors are flammable. Safety glasses should always be used whenever you are working under a vehicle to avoid particulates in the eye that may cause serious injury. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Jack Fuel line disconnect tool ½-inch or 8 mm wrench or socket Flat head screwdriver Brass punch Step by Step : 1 Jack up the vehicle and place jack stands at the lift points. The jack points for raising the rear wheel are directly under the rear of the vehicle, and for the front, the lift points are directly behind the front wheel on the undercarriage of the vehicle on a flat surface of the frame. 2 Raise the hood and disconnect the battery. Loosen the bolts on the battery cable ends. The bolts should be loosened only enough so that you can lift off the cable ends. Use a 1/2-inch socket for a top post battery and an 8 mm socket for a side post battery. 3 Climb under the vehicle and locate the straps that secure the fuel tank to the body. These metal straps run under the tank and attach to the body of the vehicle on both sides of the fuel tank. 4 Place a floor jack under the gas tank and raise it just a little to take some pressure off of the straps. 5 Locate the fill tube going into the fuel tank and use a flat head screwdriver to remove the clamp. Turn the clamp screw counterclockwise to loosen it then disconnect the fill tube from the tank. 6 Remove the bolts that hold the straps to the body of the vehicle, keeping the jack securely in place. Use a 9/16-inch socket, a 3/8-inch drive ratchet and a socket extension to remove the straps. 7 Move the straps out from under the tank and slowly release the jack .The gas tank will drop fast so be careful. 8 Place the fuel tank on the ground and disconnect all the wires. Use the fuel line disconnect tool to disconnect the fuel line. 9 Move the tank out from under the vehicle and place it on level ground. Use a 3/8-inch drive ratchet and a 10 mm socket to remove the five bolts that secure the fuel pump sending unit. Turn the bolts counterclockwise for removal. Step by Step : 10 Lift the fuel pump assembly unit up and out of the tank. Do not bend the sending unit float. Step by Step : 11 Remove the fuel pump from the sending unit by loosening the clamps around the pump. Disconnect the fuel pump hose and wires then remove the fuel pump. Step by Step : 12 Install the new fuel pump reversing the procedures for removal.
Dodge . How to Replace the Fuel Pump on a 1997 Nissan AltimaThe 1997 Nissan Altima is one of those cars where the fuel pump is installed within the fuel tank, but you do not have to remove the tank from the car to access the pump. There is an access cover underneath the back seat from which you can reach, remove and install the pump. The fuel pump is part of a module that includes the fuel sending unit and replacing a fuel pump on this model means replacing the whole module. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Wrench Screwdriver Pliers Labels Lock ring tool Hammer and driftRemoval Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the fuel pump fuse from inside the car's fuse box in the driver's floorboard. Start the car and run the engine until it stalls, then crank the engine for another three seconds to completely depressurize the fuel system. 2 Loosen the mounting bolts for the bench and back portions of the back seat using a wrench, lift up the seat back to release it from its clips and remove the seat from the car. 3 Unscrew the four screws for the fuel pump access cover with a screwdriver and remove it. Please note that the fuel hoses are connected to the access cover. 4 Disconnect the electrical connector for the fuel pump and then disconnect the fuel hoses, loosening the hose clamps with pliers. Label the hoses so you know which line on the pump module each hose connects to. 5 Mark the pump's locking ring to show its position with the car body. Unscrew the locking ring by hand and the assistance of a lock ring tool; if it is stuck, lightly tap it with a small hammer and drift. 6 Lift the fuel pump assembly out of the fuel tank. Installation Step by Step : 1 Install the replacement fuel pump in the tank and make sure it seats properly. 2 Screw the locking ring in place and then tighten it fully using the locking ring tool. 3 Connect the fuel hoses to the pump module with their hose clamps, then connect the electrical connector. 4 Seat the access cover back in place over the pump module and tighten the screws. 5 Reinstall the back seat into position, lower it so the seat back clips into place and apply the mounting bolts. *the tool. Always use a screwdriver with a tip that's the same width and type as the head of the screw you're working on. Because you usually can't use a standard screwdriver on a Phillips screw or vice versa (except for some Phillips/slot head screws that can be tightened or loosened by a standard blade type or Phillips head screwdriver), and because your car is fitted with both types of screws in a variety of sizes, you need several of each type (not just for your vehicle, but for almost anything around the house). Shafts vary in length too, which is useful because a longer shaft provides greater access to "buried" screws, while a shorter shaft gets into tight places more easily. Handles also vary. It's important to have large, easy-to-grip handles to help you loosen tight screws. You can get all the screwdrivers you need for relatively little money. Look for sales on plastic- or rubber-handled screwdrivers in sets of varying sizes. .Chapter 2: The Way to Your Car's Heart Is through Your Toolbox Figure 2-1: Standard screws and screwdrivers. 151

You need a couple of different kinds in different sizes. There are several basic types of wrenches, some for very specialized purposes, but the following sections cover the kinds you need for most jobs. You must know which system of measurement your engine is based on. Originally, most for eign vehicles (except British ones, which had their own thread standard) were based on the metric system, while domestic engines used SAE stan dards based on fractions of an inch. Today, most American vehicles have a mix of SAE and metric nuts and bolts. Foreign cars or foreign components Dodge . How old do you have to be to get a learners permit in Wisconsin?
